ARASH RADPOUR, born in Teheran, Iran in 1976.
At four, he is in Rome with his parents, away from the Iranian revolution of 1979. Here he grows and studies. In 1994 he graduates in photography from the State Institution Rossellini. As of the early two-thousands, he works in field of publicity, signing international publicity campaigns for famous brands. As of 2005, he begins free research, also in the field of video. His work has been exhibited at the Biennale in Venice, at the Victoria Memorial Hall in Kolkata and the Modern Art Museum in New Delhi, the hunting Lodge at Stupinigi in Turin and the Andersen Museum, the Napoleonic Museum and the MAXXI and Macro in Rome. In 2011 he is selected among the hundred best photographers in the world for the book; “New York a photographer’s city”, published by Rizzoli International and edited by Maria Hamburg Kennedy. In 2014 he chooses Naples as his home, and it is here that the project Ten Thousand Names is born, the first whose nature is both an installation and sculpture. He works two years on this project until he meets Anna Fresa and Danilo Ambrosino who offer him the space in the DAFNA Gallery for its realization so as to make its presentation to the public possible.
